Discovering Paula Bolaños at Teatro Flamenco Madrid

The talent and passion of flamenco dancer, Paula Bolaños, shines bright in Emotions, the most popular daily, live flamenco show at Teatro Flamenco Madrid

Flamenco dancing is one of the most intense and profound artistic expressions of Spanish culture and Paula Bolaños has been able to channel her passion and dedication for this art form into a continuous learning curve. From her very first dance steps to her current professional status, her journey reflects her effort, talent and love of flamenco.

Paula Bolaños: Flamenco passion and dedication

Paula Bolaños began her dance training in the professional dance school of Castilla and Leon in Valladolid, where she completed her professional studies in Spanish Dance. Her exceptional effort in this period of her career earned her the prestigious Castilla and Leon Community Professional Dance Teachers prize. This early recognition was just the first step in what was to become a brilliant career in flamenco dancing.

From a young age, Paula showed a fascination for dance but on becoming a professional flamenco dancer she found her true vocation. Initially an after-school activity, she soon realised that flamenco was her passion in life. This discovery not only formed her professional career but also her personal development. Her teachers during this period showed her the value of perseverance, respect and dedication, principals that still drive her life and her career.

Paula Bolaños: a promising future in flamenco dancing

In 2020 Paula decided to take an important step in her career by moving to Madrid to study at the Maria de Avila’s Dance Conservatory, where she specialised in flamenco dance.

Summer 2022 was another highlight in Paula Bolaños’ career. She was selected to take part “Amores Flamencos”, a flamenco show directed by Carlos Rodríguez. This project didn’t only allow her to perfect her stage technique but also showed her how to collaborate with other famous flamenco artists, which widened her vision of flamenco and her ability to express herself on stage.

Paula Bolaños: a flamenco dancing future full of promise

Throughout her career, Paula has shown herself to be a committed flamenco artist with a solid technique and a large capacity for performance. Her development as flamenco dancer can be seen, not only through her training, but also through her ability to express herself through flamenco, blending traditional flamenco with a contemporary flamenco style, which makes her stand out in the current flamenco scene.
