Marina Perea’s origins and career in flamenco dance

Marina Perea was born in Málaga in 1989, where, from an early age, she showed a passion for flamenco. She took her first flamenco steps in the well-known flamenco school of Susana Lupiáñez, La Lupi, where she studied from 2001 until 2013, immersing herself in the richness and tradition of flamenco, deeply rooted in the culture of Andalusia. 

In her constant search for excellence, Marina continued her studies in the Conservatorio Superior de Danza in Málaga, where she graduated in Flamenco Dance Choreography and Performance in 2011. During three years, from 2008 to 2011, she also perfected her art as a student of the Flamenco Singing School of the Flamenco Association Federation in Málaga, with the direction of outstanding flamenco artists such as Virgina Gámez, flamenco singing, Curro de María, flamenco guitar and once more with her mentor, Susana Lupiáñez, La Lupi, flamenco dance. 

Her dedication and talent soon began to stand out and Marina Perea gained recognition with a variety of awards and mentions in well-known flamenco festivals. Her unique style, impeccable technique and expression, together with that mysterious, elusive duende that all great flamenco artists possess, have made her an outstanding artist in the flamenco world, attracting attention from both audiences all over the world and the flamenco critics.
